The heart & soul of the Foundation of Friends of the UMC Utrecht

The Utrecht University Medical Center (UMC) is one of the largest hospitals in the Netherlands, with over 10,000 employees. It has an outstanding reputation. The Foundation of Friends of the UMC Utrecht (FFUMC) is the fundraising organization for the renowned UMC. The FFUMC is an ambitious organization, passionately raising money for lifesaving medical research, health innovations and patient care.

 

The question

“We raised 1.8 million euros annually, but we need to increase that to 5 million in 2015. Where and how do we find potential sponsors? And how do we make sure they find us? What can we offer them in return? How do we communicate our ambition to be 'the hospital of the future'? Can we make use of the 11,000 employees of the UMC? Can you help us?”

 

Our answer?

Yes we can. What the FFUMC needs is focus. Dare to choose, find out what makes you different. The FFUMC needs to unite all interest groups: private and company sponsors, employees and patients, medical staff, interns and other personnel. We suggest a fundraising campaign that addresses all the different target groups and promotes a sense of togetherness. Social media are the ideal tool for that.
